THE LAST BUS
A group of mismatched students on a school trip become unlikely heroes when a robot apocalypse zaps away the rest of humanity. The 10-episode action-packed sci-fi series The Last Bus stars Robert Sheehan (Umbrella Academy, Misfits), Tom Basden (After Life, Plebs) and an ensemble cast of exciting new talent.
The Last Bus tells the story of a group of school students who travel to a tech expo where a millionaire entrepreneur is showcasing a new class of AI driven orbs capable of repairing the earth's environment. Needless to say things do not quite go to plan and the kids find themselves on a dangerous and exciting road trip in search of the truth behind apparently cataclysmic events...
What transpires is a far cry from the classic robot overlords narrative, but rather a story about machine intelligence and humanity's shared destiny, and how, if they can learn to work together, they have the capability to save the earth and build a sustainable and biodiverse future.

MEET THE CREATORS
Paul Neafcy (Creator and Head Writer)
Wildseed first met Paul when he submitted an idea to their 2015 incubator scheme. That idea became Wildseed series Phillip Human which Paul created, wrote and starred in. The show sold to US Network Fullscreen who then commissioned Paul’s 8-part original series PrankMe produced by Wildseed.
In 2019, Paul wrote two pilot shows for Wildseed, one of which went on to become The Last Bus for Netflix.
Drew Casson (Block 2 Director)
In 2013, Wildseed Studios teamed up with Drew to produce Hungerford - a micro-budget 90 minute, VFX heavy sci-fi about a small English town being taken over by aliens.
Drew and Wildseed began shooting a sequel - The Darkest Dawn in April 2015 which was later acquired by Netflix. After Directing a Pilot for The Last Bus, Drew joined the series as Block 2 Director.
