TALES FROM THE SERENGETI
A lioness gets pleasured by a rabbit, a carrion bird turns to booze to fight his nerves, a baboon blows the head off an American hunter, an Elephant struggles with erectile dysfunction, a crocodile falls head over heels in love with a leopard… Rude, crude but also surprisingly tender, the Tales of the Serengeti is an animated sitcom like no other.
As soon as we published our first Ralph Kidson film “Battle at Serengeti” we knew we had the makings of a hit on our hands. Not only did we think it was fantastic – the organic audience built faster than anything else we have ever done and the clamours for more episodes started as soon as it appeared.
The show was created after Wildseed Studios discovered Ralph’s hand-stapled comics in the Independent section of Gosh! Comics in Soho. We then worked with Ralph to develop a series of episodes based on his strips which were then commissioned by BBC Three.
