MILES BULLOUGH
FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR


Miles and Jesse launched Wildseed Studios in April 2013 after Miles left Aardman Animations where he was Head of Broadcast.

He was responsible for setting up many shows there, including the global hit series Shaun The Sheep, Creature Comforts in the UK and US as well as establishing Aardman’s Interactive and Rights divisions.

Before Aardman Miles was MD of comedy production company ‘Absolutely’ whose shows included the sketch series ‘Absolutely’, 'Trigger Happy TV', C4's 'Armstrong & Miller' and 'Stressed Eric' for BBC2 . Miles set up and exec-produced ‘The Jack Docherty Show’ for Channel 5, a 350 episode nightly chat show that ran from Channel 5’s opening night for 2 years.

Miles met the Absolutely team while working for IPH Westhall, a management company for producers looking to set up as indies and which took care of finance, production management and legal services for independent Producers. Notable clients included Charlie Parsons’ Planet 24 (Miles was Line Producer of Series 1 of ‘The Word’) and The Walt Disney Company.

Before IPH Miles worked at After Image in Brixton, an arts programme producer, where he started as a runner and became production manager but along the way did camera, sound, post production, set building, catering, accounting, legal, make-up... etc.

JESSE CLEVERLY
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR


Jesse is a multi-award-winning Creative Executive with 30 years experience in Theatre, TV and Film.

Jesse started his career working with Stephen Daldry at the Royal Court Theatre where he worked on first plays by Martin McDonagh, Jez Butterworth and Conor McPherson.

After leaving the Royal Court he joined BBC Films as a Script Editor where he developed the film Eastern Promises (Dir David Cronenberg). He then became Head of Development at BBC Fictionlab where he produced a strand of 30’ films by writers new to television and The Scandalous Success of Salvador Dali, the launch film for BBC4 on BBC2. After leaving Fictionlab Jesse joined BBC Childrens where he developed and Exec produced a range of scripted shows including Prix Jeunesse winning Desperados and Robert Louis Stephenson’s Kidnapped starring Iain Glenn and Adrian Dunbar. Jesse then became Head of Co Production and Acquisitions for BBC Childrens, responsible for an annual budget of over £10million.

After leaving the BBC Jesse worked as a freelance Creative Exec for a number of clients including Aardman Animations, and adapted the novel The People’s Act of Love into a feature film for Johnny Depp/Warner Bros. Jesse cofounded Wildseed Studios in 2013, and has since developed a number of award-winning TV series, films and a BAFTA-winning short, and is currently co-showrunning 10-part live action Original The Last Bus with Sarah Mattingley for Netflix.

SARAH MATTINGLEY
Head of Kids & Animation


Sarah joined Wildseed in 2016 to be the Creative Producer on the BAFTA nominated ‘Counterfeit Cat’ for Disney XD. She had previously worked on the development of the show while at Disney EMEA where she oversaw all the creative aspects of the animated shows in production and development, including ‘Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir’ and ‘Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja’ amongst others. Previously, she worked at Granada Kids on shows such as ‘My Parents Are Aliens’. Her first TV job was Production Secretary on Emmerdale.

Recently, Sarah was the Creative Producer on ‘Dodo’ and is currently show-running our live action Netflix Original ‘The Last Bus’ with Jesse, as well as developing Wildseed’s slate.

HELEN STERN
Head of Production


Helen Stern is an experienced Producer with a varied history of working in the entertainment industry, going from Production Co-ordinating on live action talk shows, to Production Managing for The Walt Disney Company where she was responsible for management of Animated series and projects in development for Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD. Helen was also the series Production Manager on Cartoon Networks hugely successful ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’.

With Wildseed Helen was the Line Producer on ‘Incredible Ant’ for AliPay, Produced ‘Dodo’ for Sky and looks after all of Wildseed’s animation development projects.

 

CORRINA FOWLER
BUSINESS AFFAIRS


Corrina started her career over 20 years ago in Channel 4’s business affairs department. During her time there she had responsibility for areas including T4 and Children’s, Daytime, Nations and Regions, FilmFour Acquisitions, and Animation. She was responsible for many programmes including Big Brother, Richard and Judy, and the RHS Flower Shows. 

Since leaving Channel 4, Corrina has worked for many independent producers and distributors covering all genres of television. She has dealt with every aspect of production; negotiating with broadcasters, distributors, talent agents and other rights holders, and providing advice ranging from commercial and strategic deal structuring to clearances of rights.

Corrina has been working with Wildseed since 2017 and has overseen business affairs for Wildseed projects including ‘Incredible Ant’ for AliPay, ‘Dodo’ for Sky Kids and ‘The Last Bus’ for Netflix.

HEATHER STOAKES
FINANCE


Heather is a CIMA qualified accountant with a BA(Hons) from Bournemouth University in Retail Management. Having trained and worked in Industry post qualification for 14 years Heather joined Wildseed Studios in 2014 and oversees financial reporting, media tax credits and production accounting.
