Wildseed and the Sci-Fi London 48hr film challenge

Have you heard the news? We’ve teamed up with SCI-FI London specifically the SCI-FI London 48hr film challenge, by offering one of the shortlisted teams £10,000 cash towards a micro-budget feature!

SCI-FI London

say: “This is an amazing opportunity to make a feature film this year, alongside the £10k,  Wildseed will offer mentoring and bring a package of in-kind support, making sure the film gets completed – and of course, we would like to premiere it at the festival in 2015! Five of the shortlisted teams will be selected by Wildseed and go through a mentoring and development process to get a great script that can be made into a feature! The winner of the challenge is automatically in the line-up, so four other places are up for grabs! So, get ready for the challenge – we want to see your feature film too!”

We say: “We’re absolutely stoked to be working with SCI-FI London. They are living proof of  Wildseed’s philiosophy: a well executed piece of content fearlessly produced can provide a very shortcut to substantially bigger things – because it provides such a pure expression of a talented creator’s vision – and that excites people far more than a piece of strategically produced “product”. In addition to this – we are convinced that genre stories are an untapped area in the UK – and this is really powerful way of demonstrating WIldseed’s mission to directly enable creators to all that brilliant talent. We are really confident that a brilliant new Wildseed will emerge as a result.  We’re proud to be part of this year’s challenge and can’t wait to see the shortlist!”
Jesse Cleverly – Creative Director of Wildseed.
