On Monday 31st Oct 2016 our first feature film on Wildseed Movies, The Darkest Dawn, was released to buy and rent. This past week saw us host an exclusive VIP screening at The Vaults, deep in the underground belly of London (we could NOT have chosen a more atmospheric venue for our screening). Attended by the film’s Cast, Press and Industry folk, we really had a blast and were blown away by the positive feedback we received all round.
“There was a moment during our VIP preview screening at The Vaults in London when we could see industry veterans trying to work out if the sound of rumbling trains was coming from the film or from Waterloo Station. Talk about disrupting the mainstream …. what an event that was” – Miles Bullough, Wildseed Studios.

We followed up our VIP screening with our public Premiere launch at MCM London Comic Con. Attended by 150k people over 3 days, we had a fabulous reception from fans and press both at our official stand and during the Premiere screening on Sunday which again was attended by our cast. Post screening we set aside time for our cast to offer signings with fans at our stand.
“Showing our film at Comicon was the equivalent of a home game – we were surrounded by people who instinctively got the film and everything it stands for” – Jesse Cleverly, Wildseed Studios.

Our stand remained busy all weekend as Comic Con attendees embraced our film trailer and took part in our photoshoot which allowed fans to put themselves into the heart of our official movie poster. This proved a great hit and you can check out the fantastic gallery at http://www.thedarkestdawn.com.
“At MCM London Comicon we pitched everyone who came onto our stand with the idea that Wildseed Movies was promoting a new wave of British Sci-Fi Film Making and the feedback we recieved was that this was much needed and long overdue.” – Miles Bullough, Wildseed Studios

We are currently on day 3 of sale and the reception, again, has been incredible! We hit no.12 in the pre-order chart on iTunes are we’ve hit the top charts on Horror, Sci-Fi and, most impressively for an indie film, we are in the 70s for overall downloads on iTunes – to put this into perspective we’re just a few behind Star Wars & Harry Potter for live sales!
We’d really love you all to take a moment to buy or rent the film and then send us your feedback on social using the hashtag #TheDarkestDawn. You can find full details on where the film is available at http://www.thedarkestdawn.com/buy
