–THIS POSITION IS NOW FILLED–
We are looking for an experienced Script Editor to work with us on an original live action series for an international streaming platform. The series is a 10 x 30 minute contemporary sci-fi dramedy for older kids (age 10 – 14). Set in the near future, it’s an ambitious eco-fable with lots of action, drama and heart that has been created by talent we found and nurtured through our pilot scheme.
Our approach will be to go through CV’s and/or covering letters, to meet people for a chat and then to ask them to evaluate some material to get a sense of their approach to our work.
The role is on a fixed term contract basis for approx 5 months, with an immediate start. Closing date for applications is 18th October 2019. Please send a CV and cover note to firstname.lastname@example.org
Wildseed Studios is a BAFTA winning scripted IP producer for both animated and live action content for kids and young adults.
The company was founded on the principle of piloting work from the most exciting generation of new talent and then selling it into premium platforms. This has already generated commissions and partnerships with clients including Netflix, BBC, Channel 4, Disney, Hulu, Sky and Nickelodeon.
We would love to find someone who would be a good fit for this exciting project and for our ethos as a company.
We are looking for a candidate who is used to working with creators and writers, giving detailed notes and direction on storylines and scripts as well as finding creative solutions to notes from execs and broadcasters.
We are seeking a positive, solutions-driven person who is articulate, organised and clear thinking, and who understands the challenges and demands of working across multiple scripts to a fairly tight schedule.
The successful candidate will know how to have difficult and sensitive creative conversations with writers and creative executives and will be able to represent the company at meetings with writers, agents and commissioning execs from time to time.
We would like someone who has a sensibility for material aimed at kids and young adult audiences, and an aptitude for serialised comedy and drama storytelling.
We are a Bristol based company and will be interested in candidates living in or willing to relocate to Bristol after a trial period. However, for the right candidate, remote working is also an option.
Please note all applicants at the time of application should have full working rights for the UK and hold an appropriate visa where applicable.
We look forward to hearing from you!
